It’s time to switch up your side dish game with a kick of flavour! Sometimes side dishes can be the hardest dishes to get creative with, but that’s where spices become your best friend. I love these potatoes that have a fun Indian flavour kick to them, making them an awesome side dish or part of a delish breakfast bowl.
The best part is that spices like cumin, turmeric, coriander, and cardamom are anti-inflammatory and can help soothe your digestive system. It’s the perfect way to add them into your meals.
In a small bowl make your spice mix by adding the garam masala, cumin, coriander, garlic powder, chili powder, turmeric and cardamom.
Wash and chop your potatoes into cubes. Pat to dry.
In a bowl add the potatoes and olive oil or avocado oil. Season them with sea salt and black pepper to taste.
Add 1 1/2 tsp of the spice blend to the potatoes and mix.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, spread the potatoes evenly on the baking sheet. Drizzle with a bit more oil. Bake for 30 minutes or until the potatoes are golden brown. Stir halfway through. Serve and garnish with cilantro and additional sea salt if desired.
